Kill Jane Doe is an essay about Bungie's Marathon, the FPS, extraction shooter released in 2026. It's also an essay about the girl playing it. The way the game has picked apart ideas in her brain and unraveled memories through its terrain and engaging murder gameplay. It asserts that trans science fiction is the future while also asserting that Marathon is a cooperative game where some of the enemies just happen to be controlled by other, flesh and blood people.
It features in-game photography cataloging the maps. Explorations of fog and other dense things, like flesh or neoprene.
