The new version of songbirds is here!

Layout, writing, content. All of it has been revamped and made easier to read/use/run at the table for your convenience. I want people to PLAY this game, not just look at it. Well...I also want people to be *able* to look at it.

Which is why the biggest change is the pink. I changed pallets, found a pink that works better and paired it with a solid blue-grey that really brings everything together with the white of the page. Here are some sample pictures to get a taste. Just from those you can see that there's a MAJOR improvement. 

I'm really proud of the layout work and I really thank some of the greats out there that gave me inspiration. Games like Mothership, my good friend Micah's layout work, and Into the Odds original run.

Second biggest change is the content/writing. Almost every section of the book has been worded *better*, made to be more clear, or taken out. I had this anxiety about releasing this game that if it didn't have enough STUFF then it wouldn't stand on its own two legs. 

Well, I got it standing and realized it was quite bloated. Too bloated to even understand what all of it could be used for. So I went through it to trim the fat and make a very solid, sturdy frame. 

The core of the book has always been the Anomalies. There are 32 interesting "classes" or "abilities" that you get to choose from, and that's a lot of choices. So I stripped back the schooling and the talents to make it easier to visualize a character and more importantly, to make it simpler to create a character. 

Other big changes:

* Updated Stress mechanics, making them simpler to understand and use
* Updated character sheet to explain inventory, exhaustion, and aid in tracking Stress
* Simplified leveling system focusing the game
* Removed the fusion because that's a mechanic that *deserves* its own game, and that's a game I'm working on
* Updated GM section with clear advice and guidelines
